Celebrate the Season at Epcot | #EpcotHolidays
‘Tis the Season to drink (and eat!) around the world at EPCOT…
Get ready for the Festival of the Holidays which will take you on an adventure exploring new cultures, customs, and holiday cheer. I’ve always been a fan of the storytelling inside Epcot, and I was thrilled to visit a media event which took me behind the scenes to sample the new menu offerings and hear from a few cast members about the magic of this event!
What is the Festival of the Holidays?
You can enjoy live shows and music around the World Showcase. I’m quite partial to the German band (it is so much fun!), but there are so many other spots to enjoy too!
You can stop at the various holiday kitchen to try food and beverages from November 18th through December 30th. The kitchens are open from noon to 8 pm.
Some of the highlights include the American Holiday Table which is located in American Adventure. Look for this slow-roasted Turkey with Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans and Cranberry Sauce. Pair it with a holiday beer flight, and you’re ready to party!
Look for the Feast of the Three Kings and try the Queso Fresco-Stuffed Arepa Topped with Shrimp, Crushed Avocado Aji and Tomato Sauce (gluten-friendly). This was by far my favorite of the event.
A new option is the L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen which lets you enjoy “classic Jewish fare and a little New York flare.” The menu is awesome since it features Pastrami on Rye with House-Made Pickles and Deli Mustard and black and white cookies (yes!).
I sampled an egg cream which was new to me. Have you ever had one? It features milk, chocolate syrup, and seltzer. It’s a non-alcoholic holiday treat.
When you visit Epcot during this festival (or any of them actually!), don’t forget to purchase a scavenger hunt.
These are my son’s favorite activities throughout the year. This year it is Chip & Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree. To get started, simply purchase a map and stickers from select merchandise locations, including Pin Central, Disney Traders and World Traveler at International Gateway.

Since the holiday season can be busy, and it’s difficult to pick and choose what events to go to, I suggest doing a half day at Epcot before finishing the night at Hollywood Studios. I love Epcot and find myself much more open to eating and drinking ALL OF THE THINGS when I start early when the world showcase opens. I hope that is helpful as you try to juggle your holiday calendar! It’s certainly an event I wouldn’t miss. I typically celebrate my December birthday at Epcot, and this year is no different.
