7 Things to Not Waste Your Money on at Disney World
When heading to Disney World, you will find that you are faced with many options as far as what to buy, take with you, and experience. These extras can all add up quickly, and cause quite a bit of financial stress. But the truth is, there are plenty of Disney World “extras” you don’t need to spend your money on in order to have a good time. Look below at 7 things to not waste your money on at Disney World, and see how by planning ahead you can certainly save some cash!

1. Character dining experiences.
If your kids want to meet their favorite characters, see if there is a in park experience you can get a Fast Pass for. This way you can get a photo and say hello to your favorite character without paying the $30 and up per head a character dining experience costs.
2. Soda.
Buying a bottle of soda at one of the snack stands can easily cost you $3 a pop. This adds up quick! Instead, carry your own beverages in or bring a water bottle to refill. This way you can stay hydrated and skip the sugary and expensive drinks.

3. Autograph items.
Sure you could buy an autograph book at Disney World for $15 and up, but why? Instead save your cash and just get a fun notebook from the dollar store. Characters don’t freely roam the park like they use to and chances are you will only get a handful of autographs.
4. Character pins.
Do you collect Disney pins? Do you love to trade pins? Great! You can do this without spending a dime on the pins at the park. Head to eBay and Amazon to find inexpensive pins perfect for sharing and trading.

5. Pricey meals.
Think ahead when it comes to dining at Disney. Try to enjoy the free breakfast (if offered at your hotel) or pack grab and go snacks for breakfast. If you want to spend money on a Disney meal opt for lunch as it will be just as filling but cheaper. After a late lunch, you can then just grab a snack stand item before you head home for the night.
6. Boutique dresses.
Every girl wants to look like a princess, but you don’t have to buy a $75 gift shop dress to make that happen. Instead, buy your dress via Amazon or second hand ahead of time and pack it with you. The Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique won’t mind one bit if you wear this gown in instead of one of their boutique offerings.
7. First aid.
Should you need any minor first aid items, head to the park first aid station. A cast member can help direct you. Here you can get first aid items you need at no cost. If you feel like you need to rest and hydrate due to the heat or other illness, this is another great spot to stop and get aid at no charge.
