Food and Wine Festival at Epcot For Kids

EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival isn’t just for adults! Disney does a great job of making sure there is always something fun for kids to do!

When it comes to the food, every country in the World Showcase has kid-friendly snacks and creative drinks for kids to enjoy (non-alcoholic, of course).

Kids also love the Eat to the Beat concert series, a family-friendly event with music ranging from Pop to R&B to Country.

My son LOVES seeing the Baha Men. We have gone two years in a row so we can hear “Who Let the Dogs Out?” (along with a few other of our favorites!). This is one way that you can introduce your children to music and have a magical moment on your day at Epcot!

Not many know about the scavenger hunts available at every Epcot festival. At Food & Wine, you can go on Remy’s Hide and Squeak Scavenger Hunt, where you look for Remy in each country you visit. Sometimes, he’s easy to spot and other times (like when the crowds pick up), it’s more of a challenge. Cast members are always willing to help the kids out. Once you find Remy, you collect a sticker and then turn in the completed map for a prize. (Past prizes have included a souvenir pin, cups, and can koozies.) Pick up your maps at Disney Traders, Pin Central, Festival Center, and World Central for $6.99.

Kidcot Fun Stops are also often overlooked but are a fun, free way to engage with each country and take home a memorable souvenir. Stations are set up in each country of the World Showcase, with art supplies to color, draw, and collect activity cards. Cast members tell stories about each country and even add cute little drawings to the kids’ artwork.

Let the kids burn off some energy at the themed playground. The unique equipment is more engaging than your average neighborhood park. 

Sign up for the kid-friendly special events. If you look on the Disney website, there are several events that are both free and paid. From cocktail tastings for the adults to three-course meals, there is something for everyone. Last year (2019) had a Candy Sushi event that we signed up for.

Our class was full ahead of time, but they did have last minute spots for a few parents who arrived. It’s definitely something to check out! We received all the ingredients needed to make candy sushi as we were accompanied by a chef who helped us out!
