Typhoon Lagoon For Toddlers

Typhoon Lagoon, one of Walt Disney World’s two water parks, is fun for the whole family, including toddlers!

Ketchakiddiee Creek is the area you’ll want to head to if you’ve got little ones with you since it’s for kids under 4 feet tall. There, they can splash in shallow pools, get squirted by whimsical animal friends, slide down mini water slides, explore a cave complete with waterfall, and shoot a water cannon from a leaky tugboat called the S.S. Squirt. So cute!

Tickets to Typhoon Lagoon are $69 for adults and $63 for kids. You can save $5 a ticket by going off-season (before May 25 or after September 27). Typhoon Lagoon is open seven days a week from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except for a brief closing each winter for refurbishment.

Families can relax at the beach area in Ketchakiddiee Creek, or any number of other beaches around the park. Beach umbrellas and Beachcomber Shacks can be rented for the day of at Singapor Sal’s in the park on a first come first serve basis. These rentals include refillable drink mugs and other perks.

Visit High and Dry Rentals to borrow a free life jacket or to snap a picture with Lilo or Stitch, the resident characters of Typhoon Lagoon. (Pro tip: These characters can only be found at Typhoon Lagoon or the Ohana character breakfast at the Polynesian resort.)

Be sure to visit Happy Landings Ice Cream for a cool, beachside treat, or if mom and dad are looking for something stronger, shimmy over to Let’s Go Slurping!
