Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is a great way to beat the heat, take a break from the crowds and stress of the big parks, and spend less on the price of admission during your vacation. There’s plenty to do for everyone in the family. In addition to pools and slides, this waterpark has these special features:

The Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool mimics the ocean, complete with “sonic boom” sound effects as small waves quickly become big ones! It’s great for kids of all ages because strong swimmers can immerse themselves in the swells, while the less adventurous can lounge on the sandy beach. Pro tip: Inner tubes aren’t allowed here, and it’s not a great option for little ones.

Crush ‘n’ Gusher is a two-person “water coaster” ride down a 400-foot-long tube slide. Pick from one of three chutes and then slide down! Expect water jets, uphill climbs, sudden drops and sharp turns through both dark and open sections.

Humunga Kowabunga is an insanely fast and steep slide, not for the faint at heart! You’ll race down a 5-story drop in the dark, at a 60-degree angle.

Ketchakiddee Creek is a cute play area for kids under 4 feet tall. It’s got a sandy beach, squirting animals, mini waterslides, a cave, and a water cannon aboard a tugboat called S.S. Squirt.

When it’s time to grab a bite to eat, head to Leaning Palms for burgers, chicken nuggets, pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and wraps, plus beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Some dining plans are accepted here, but not at the other two eateries at the park. Let’s Go Slurpin’ has cocktails and a full bar menu, while Happy Landings Ice Cream has root beer floats, sundaes and the famous Sand Pail (two kinds of soft-serve topped with waffle cone, cookie pieces, hot fudge, and sprinkles).

Tickets to Typhoon Lagoon are $69 per person.
