Sanibel Island Sunsets

Sometimes I work early and see the sunrise. Sometimes I stay late and catch the sunset. The way that my home and office are located gives me the opportunity to cross two bridges and see two islands. This lends itself to a spectacular commute if there are no cars. Side note: When there are cars, spring break traffic, or snowbirds…this commute is not my favorite thing to do. When I’m having a stressed out morning or a long day at work, sometimes it is nice to take a break and appreciate what I do have. I am incredibly lucky to live where I do and to have the opportunity to do the work that I do.

Last night I was driving home, and I wasn’t quite sure what my post was going to be for today. I knew I was going to post “pastel” images, an idea we came up with in the hopes that we would share our Easter decor. I actually haven’t decorated my home or even prepared an Easter basket for my kiddo yet (it’s coming though!), so when I saw that the sky was light blue with a hot pink sun setting…I knew I had to stop. This Sanibel Island sunset is stunning, but I’ve seen better. At certain parts of the year, the sunset is just blazing with color!

I was a bit too far away to really capture the true beauty of the evening, but this just inspires me to look for a nicer camera with a better lens! I loved how rocky the shore was, and the water was clear.
