Change Things Up With 6 Unique Date Ideas
Tired of dinner and a movie as your go-to date night? Whether you’re married, part of a couple or just meeting someone, a daytime outing can actually be a lot more fun. Try one of these 6 unique date ideas (and get to know the person you’re with a little better in the process).

Spend the day at the zoo– Though this is the perfect date for animal lovers, you don’t have to be a crazy cat lady to see the awe in these places. It’s not every day that you see a giraffe. With lots of paths to stroll, benches to rest on, and typically, a cafe for lunch, zoos are a great spot to wander and talk (and take incredible photos).
Brunch at Bonefish Grill– Do the opposite of going out to dinner! Let’s face it, people are different at various times of the day, so conversation over breakfast may teach you a thing or two about your date. With menu items like Kobe Beef + Egg Burger or Creme Brulee French Toast, you’re bound to find something impressive at Bonefish Grill. (Did I mention they have brunch cocktails? How does a Chipotle Bloody Mary or a bubbly Georgia Peach Martini sound?).
Go to the beach- Whether you’re walking the shore in search of shells, taking pictures of the sunrise and wildlife, swimming, sunbathing or jet skiing, there is something at the beach for everyone. This date can be as long or short as you want it to be.
Take a lesson– Sign up for a music lesson, an art, improv or cooking class together and you’ll quickly learn how well the two of you can collaborate! It’s also fun to try new things and make each other laugh in the process. Remember, these lessons aren’t actually about getting better at these skills, rather experience something memorable with your partner.
Check out a record or antique shop– These places are like real-life treasure hunts! You never know what you’re going find. In the age of eBay, these stores are no longer a dime a dozen. Again with this date, the goal is not to shop, but to talk about the things you find.
Browse a book store– From old to new, stop into your local book store (big box or mom-and-pop, doesn’t matter) and peruse the shelves. Laugh in the comedy section, talk about your faith, your self-help adventures, or your hobbies. Take a magazine quiz. If the store has a cafe, grab a coffee. Of course, you can always make things steamy by stopping over at the intimate section…
Where do you want to take your next date?
