Bonita Beach Dog Beach
Taking the dogs to the dog beach is one of my favorite things to do — we just don’t do it TOO often because our dogs are nutty and absolutely hyper. We haven’t been to the dog beach since we moved down here, so we decided to give it a go with one dog — the “social” one. The Bonita Beach dog beach is an off-leash beach with room to run!

He did great! He was so well behaved and he didn’t need to be on a leash. He stayed nearby and ran up and down the shore.
We were surrounded by water on both sides — I’m assuming because it was high tide?
Anyway, it was pretty neat….and not crowded!
Don’t forget to clean up after your pet, and FYI, there are no bathrooms there! They have a portable bathroom, so plan ahead. Don’t bring alcohol or glass.
Sometimes the best adventures are spontaneous and simple. I like those kind of days! If you’re moving to SWFL area with dogs, be sure to add this spot to your list.
