Marco Island has long been a bucket list destination for me here in Florida. It’s a gorgeous beach with amazing sunsets, and it is located where it makes more sense to stay overnight. While I had driven there before to catch a quick sunset, it is way more fun to book a room and enjoy an entire day and night on this beach. It’s secluded from the hustle of the nearby cities, and it is truly a Florida paradise.

We stayed at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort which just finished a three-year, $320 Million renovation project. The property will soon debut a new era of luxury for Southwest Florida and beyond. The extensive project has welcomed luxurious upgrades to rooms, suites and public spaces, the addition of an exclusive SPA by JW concept, new restaurants, the new Lanai Tower, as well as the debut of the “Paradise by Sirene” experience, a curated escape exclusively for adults.

Cozy up for sunset Cocktails at Kane Tiki Bar & Grill. This trendy tiki bar vibe in an open-air setting found just steps from the resort’s Tiki pool and the Gulf of Mexico. Kane is the perfect outpost to enjoy a selection of nearly 60 distinct rums, expertly crafted cocktails and savory small bites and shared plates with a mash-up of Indonesian and Polynesian inspired flavors.

Walk next door to enjoy dinner at Quinn’s. With the upscale “castaway” feel of the legendary Quinn’s, the beachside restaurant and bar make dining memorable with tropical island food, breathtaking Gulf views, and spectacular Florida sunsets. Enjoy the casual atmosphere, fresh breezes and large selection of Caribbean-inspired seafood and steak specialties, appetizers, sandwiches, and delicious tropical drinks – all accented by a stunning fire dancer display every day at sunset.

10K Alley: I am obsessed with this place. The industrial-chic restaurant encourages guests to “Eat food. Make friends. Have fun.” Debuted in early October 2018, the restaurant boasts flavorful, handcrafted fare, decadent milkshakes, craft beer, and aged bourbon selections. In addition to its innovative culinary selections, 10K Alley features a mix of classic and high-tech modern games that provide a family friendly atmosphere during the day, then transitions into an interactive, adults-exclusive experience after 10 PM.

I honestly feel like southwest Florida has become cooler since we moved away. There were no breweries or unique craft beer options, and now, there are so many! And, now, vacationers can enjoy all the fun! At 10K Alley (which will be open to locals in the offseason), you can enjoy a variety of craft beer, unique cocktails, and enjoy delicious milkshakes that you have only dreamed about. Plus, there are video games, bowling, and virtual reality gaming options too.

Besides these restaurants and bars, there are several other restaurants on property. You can stay here and have all the luxuries and amenities that you need on vacation.
