Free Disney World Game: Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom Card Game

2021 Update: This game is no longer offered at Disney World, but I did not want to remove it from my site since it is a great memory for our family.

There’s always something new to discover at Disney, no matter how many times you go. The Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card game at Magic Kingdom is a prime example. This free card game scavenger hunt is made for all ages. Half the fun is collecting and trading the cards. (There are more than 70 cards to collect over time and some are even sold on eBay because they’re so coveted!) The premise is that Hades and other Disney villains are trying to take over the Magic Kingdom and it is up to you to ruin their plans.

The hunt begins on Main Street U.S.A. Pick up your Sorcerer Key card, map, and spell cards at the Firehouse. (There’s also an outpost behind Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.) Once you have the game tools, check out Merlin’s map and locate the 20 portals throughout the park. The spell cards help players battle the obstacles of the game and inevitably come face-to-face with the evil leader, Hades, to win.

You can still play the game during some of the special ticketed events at the Magic Kingdom and even pick up a few limited edition cards during those hunts. The two best things about the game are that the entire family can play together, and it is free with your park admission. The hunt will last between 20-30 minutes.

You don’t want to miss this FREE offering at the Magic Kingdom. You can collect cards and store them in an album (they sell them at the Emporium on Main Street).
